Konya
In terms of area, Konya is the largest province in Turkey and has a population of 2,250,000. The city, which has hosted many civilizations since 7000 BC, is one of the oldest settlements in Turkey with its rich cultural heritage. Many Islamic scholars, particularly Mevlana Jelaleddin-i Rumi, lived in Konya. It is known as Turkey's wheat warehouse. The high-speed train line extends to Konya, which is located 1 hour and 45 minutes from the capital,Ankara.
